Ha Jung-woo's agency, Workhouse Company, has warned about impersonation scams.
On the 9th, Workhouse Company released an official statement saying, “We have received reports that someone has impersonated an employee of the production company of a project featuring our affiliated actor, requesting advance payment for restaurant reservations and high-end alcohol purchases.” They added, “Neither our affiliated artists, the agency, nor any related staff make such monetary demands.”
They further stated, “We ask for special caution to avoid any damage,” and added, “We are currently verifying the above information closely and are preparing a response plan for legal action.”
Recently, scams impersonating celebrities have been continuously occurring. The agencies of Byun Woo-seok, Namgoong Min, and Song Ga-in have also reported similar damages and urged caution.
