Actor Kim Soo-hyun's side has filed additional complaints against Gaseyeon (Garo Sero Research Institute) operator Kim Se-hee and the family of the late Kim Sae-ron.
On the 9th, Kim Soo-hyun and his agency Gold Medalist's legal representative, LK B&Partners, stated, “We have filed additional complaints against Gaseyeon operator Kim Se-hee for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act and violation of the Stalking Punishment Act, and against the family of Kim Sae-ron for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.”
Gaseyeon held an emergency press conference on the 7th, claiming, “Kim Soo-hyun has been in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron since she was a minor in the second year of middle school, and they had sexual relations for the first time during the winter vacation of her second year in middle school.”
The law firm stated, “Kim Se-hee spread absurd and false facts during the press conference on the 7th,” and claimed, “Kim Se-hee's statements are complete lies with not a shred of truth.”
It continued, “Kim Se-hee indiscriminately spread ridiculous falsehoods about actor Kim Soo-hyun based on forged recording files and photos downloaded from the internet,” adding, “This is a crime that is far more serious than any crimes Kim Se-hee has committed so far.”
It emphasized, “Gold Medalist and actor Kim Soo-hyun have promptly taken additional legal action against Kim Se-hee and the family of the late Kim Sae-ron, and we will do our utmost to ensure that they are punished according to the law and principles.”
The family of Kim Sae-ron has been claiming since March that Kim Sae-ron was in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun for six years starting from 2016 when she was 15 years old through Gaseyeon.
On the 7th, Gaseyeon and the family of Kim Sae-ron held a press conference and announced that they had filed a complaint against Kim Soo-hyun for violating the Child Welfare Act and for false accusations. The family claimed, “We have confirmed that Kim Soo-hyun made Kim Sae-ron, who was a minor, engage in lewd acts or sexual harassment and abuse starting from the winter vacation of her second year in middle school.”
Kim Soo-hyun's agency immediately issued a statement on the same day, refuting that “the recording files in question are completely forged” and announced legal action.
Previously, Kim Soo-hyun's side had filed a defamation complaint against the family and an unidentified person claiming to be an “aunt,” as well as against Gaseyeon operator Kim Se-hee, and also filed a lawsuit for damages amounting to 11 billion won.
Due to this controversy, Kim Soo-hyun has effectively withdrawn from the entertainment program “Good Day” in which he was participating, and the release of his lead role in the Disney+ series “Nok Off” has also been temporarily suspended.

1. Gold Medalist and actor Kim Soo-hyun have today filed additional complaints against Gaseyeon operator Kim Se-hee for violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation) and against the family of the late Kim Sae-ron for violations of the same act (defamation).
2. As is well known, Kim Se-hee spread absurd and false facts during a press conference on May 7, 2025, claiming, “Actor Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron have been in a relationship since middle school, and the late Kim Sae-ron had sexual relations for the first time during the winter vacation of her second year in middle school, and there are recording files to support this,” and “The side of actor Kim Soo-hyun attempted to bribe the informant with 4 billion won to hand over the recording files, and when the informant refused, they attempted to kill the informant through two killers.”
3. Looking specifically at Kim Se-hee's statements, he claimed, “Just five days before the crime, a Korean and a Chinese killer entered through JFK Airport in New York late on a Friday night,” “The investigation is being conducted by the FBI, not the New Jersey State Police where the incident occurred,” “The informant was stabbed nine times in the neck area while getting out of his car on his way to work,” “The Korean killer is Lee Han-gu, born in 1992, residing in Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do, and the other is a Korean-Chinese,” “The killer has been arrested by the FBI, and the investigation revealed that there were call records with Lee Jin-ho on the killer's phone just before the crime,” and “This is clearly a case of conspiracy to commit murder,” which are claims that are simply incomprehensible to the average person.

Furthermore, Kim Se-hee also spread incomprehensible falsehoods regarding the representatives of the complaints and accusations, stating, “The lawyers from the complaint and accusation representative (LKB) visited the informant's rental house and asked where the informant was,” “The couple living in the informant's house felt threatened by a robust Korean-Chinese man who was with two lawyers from the complaint and accusation representative (LKB),” and “The representative lawyer of the complaint and accusation representative (LKB) also attempted to bribe the informant over the phone, which the FBI has recorded.”
5. The statements made by Kim Se-hee are complete lies with not a shred of truth.
