Singer Hwang Min-ho has perfectly captured the audience of ‘Knowing Brothers’ with his diverse charm.
Hwang Min-ho appeared on the Children’s Day special of JTBC’s ‘Knowing Brothers’ aired on the 3rd, impressing viewers with his engaging talk and performance.
On that day, Hwang Min-ho mentioned his dream of becoming an eating show YouTuber, stating, “I don’t know what the future holds. If I don’t become a singer, I want to be an eating show YouTuber,” adding, “I’m confident in eating.” He also mentioned his favorite foods as goat soup and loach soup, which drew admiration. However, when asked how much he eats in one meal, he cutely replied, “I can finish a bowl of rice now,” eliciting laughter appropriate for his age.
Hwang Min-ho talked about his connection to trot music, mentioning his older brother Hwang Min-woo, saying, “I dreamed of being a singer by watching my brother. I followed him to events, and he looked so cool when he sang.” He confessed, “I almost jumped on stage. I wanted to sing and dance, which made me want to get on stage,” and shared, “When I capture my emotions, I think of songs like ‘You’re Far Away’ and imagine parting from my brother.”
Regarding his skill in playing the janggu, he said, “Isn’t it something everyone wants to try playing an instrument at least once? So I thought about which instrument to try, and (Hwang) Min-woo recommended the janggu,” adding, “Since then, I’ve been learning the janggu on my own, and it’s really fun. So I practice for an hour every morning, noon, and night,” revealing his exceptional passion.
Hwang Min-ho then performed a stage combining singing and janggu with Son Heon-soo’s ‘Gwan-sang Tale.’ He overwhelmed the venue with an exciting performance, engaging with the ‘Knowing Brothers’ members and showcasing his experience, and soon delivered a live performance of his new song ‘Mangnani,’ which drew admiration. In particular, Kang Ho-dong couldn’t hide his surprise, calling it a “huge event.”
