That day, Jin joined the segment where vocalist Chris Martin invites audience members on stage to sing together. While looking for someone to sing with, Chris Martin read a sign held by an audience member that said, ‘My Bro. Can I sing ‘The Astronaut’ with you. Pick me please.’
The person holding that sign was Jin, who was in the audience. After confirming this, Chris Martin was surprised and exchanged warm greetings with Jin.
Jin elevated the atmosphere of the concert by singing ‘The Astronaut’ on stage. ‘The Astronaut,’ Jin's first official solo single, is a collaboration with Coldplay and features a harmonious blend of gentle acoustic guitar and gradually building synth sounds, making it an impressive song.
Coldplay also has a connection with BTS, having released ‘My Universe’ together. Jin had previously shown his loyalty by appearing as a special guest at Coldplay's concert in Argentina in 2022.
Meanwhile, Coldplay is performing in South Korea for the first time in 8 years since 2017. The second concert series will consist of a total of 6 performances, attracting about 50,000 attendees per show, aiming to connect with a total of 300,000 audience members.
