Actor So Ji-sub has successfully concluded his solo fan meeting in Japan.
On the 5th, So Ji-sub held a solo fan meeting titled 'SONICe Trip' in Tokyo, Japan, creating special memories with his fans. This fan meeting, which took place about six years after the last one in 2019, was initially planned for just one session, but due to the enthusiastic support from fans, a second session was added on the same day, showcasing So Ji-sub's global popularity.
Amid the enthusiastic cheers from fans filling the venue, So Ji-sub made a surprise appearance from the audience and sweetly opened the fan meeting by singing 'Can’t you smile without you.'
The fan meeting, prepared with a 'Spring Trip' concept, where So Ji-sub traveled with fans, featured him saying, "It took too long to meet again. I was so nervous and couldn't sleep last night because it had been a while since we last met, but seeing your faces has changed that nervousness into the pleasant excitement of going on a trip. I hope you enjoy this fun journey with me today."
A quiz time where fans guessed So Ji-sub's travel preferences and a session sharing behind-the-scenes stories from his past works were arranged, eliciting enthusiastic responses from fans. The excitement peaked when he talked about the upcoming Netflix series 'The Square' set to be released this year.
Actors Ok Taec-yeon and Cha Hak-yeon appeared as special guests, bringing the atmosphere to its peak. So Ji-sub, Ok Taec-yeon, and Cha Hak-yeon performed 'Time Walks,' a song written and composed by Ok Taec-yeon for this fan meeting, delivering an emotional stage. Ok Taec-yeon revealed, "This song was created imagining So Ji-sub sunbae holding hands with fans and walking through time," which drew loud applause from the audience, while Cha Hak-yeon brought laughter with his greeting, "Today, we debuted 'So-ok-cha,' so please give us a lot of support."
A 'mini sports day' corner was set up where So Ji-sub, Ok Taec-yeon, and Cha Hak-yeon completed missions in relay, filling the audience with laughter and cheers through the actors' delightful chemistry and teamwork. They also added a special touch by giving away perfume gifts they had prepared through a lottery.
Before going off stage, Ok Taec-yeon expressed, "I was really happy and grateful to experience this time with So Ji-sub sunbae and all of you, even if it was brief.
