Singer Park Ji-hyun graced the cover of the May issue.
After being the runner-up in TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot 2', Park Ji-hyun has been busy with her schedule and conducted a photoshoot with 'At Style'.
In an interview afterward, Park Ji-hyun reflected on the past two years, saying, "I have been busy with concerts and broadcasts."
Currently, she is directly connecting with audiences through her national tour 'Showmanship' and shared her thoughts on performing in her hometown Mokpo, saying, "I was more nervous singing in front of my fans, family, and friends," and added, "Since concerts are rare in Mokpo, I wanted to show the joy of the performance."
As it was her first solo concert, she had many concerns during the preparation process. She stated, "I focused on creating a stage that is not boring and exciting," and expressed her desire to create a "real showdown stage" that both fans and those seeing her for the first time could enjoy.
She also shared an honest confession about her unique charm. Park Ji-hyun said, "In the past, I thought having noticeably different features on both sides of my face was a flaw, but since my fans say it's sexy, I now see it as my own charm," responding with a smile.
The chemistry between Park Na-rae and her as 'Mokpo siblings' on MBC's 'I Live Alone' has garnered attention, significantly increasing her young fan base.
Park Ji-hyun mentioned, "My recognition has increased, and there are noticeably more fans in their 20s and 30s. When creating the concert setlist, I also thought about 'resonating with young fans'," while still prioritizing her genuine love for trot music.
She added, "When 'Mr. Trot 2' started, senior Jang Yoon-jung said she would select talents who love trot, and I deeply resonated with that. I try not to lose my passion for trot on any stage," showing her unwavering affection.
She expressed warm gratitude to her fandom, Endorphin (official fandom name). "I still have many shortcomings, but I sincerely want to make my fans smile," she said, adding, "I will strive to become a 'proud singer' someday."
