Broadcaster Park Na-rae (40) had her home burglarized by a man in his 30s, who has been apprehended by the police. The perpetrator was an outsider, not an acquaintance.

A police official stated during a regular briefing at the Seodaemun Police Station on the morning of the 14th, "We arrested suspect A on the 10th and are currently investigating him under detention." He added, "The crime was committed by breaking in from the outside," and "(A) has a prior record for theft and is also under investigation for another case at the Yongsan Police Station."

The police tracked A based on closed-circuit (CC) TV footage and confirmed that he was the same person who stole valuables from Park Na-rae's home. An official stated, "(A) did not know it was Park Na-rae's house when he committed the crime."

A stole high-value items from Park Na-rae's residence located in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 4th. He committed the crime alone without any accomplices and was found to have attempted to sell the stolen goods. The police plan to investigate A's other crimes and forward the case to the prosecution next week.

Park Na-rae became aware of the theft on the 7th and reported it to the police the following day. As there were no closed-circuit (CC) TVs in her home, there were speculations that it might have been an inside job at one point.

On the 14th, E&P Company, which handles publicity for Park Na-rae, expressed, "We are very relieved that the suspect was arrested following the swift investigation by the authorities, and we thank them for their hard work."

They also added, "Groundless false information is being indiscriminately spread through online communities and social media," and emphasized, "We will take strong legal action against such falsehoods without any leniency."
