Singer and actress IU's YouTube channel 'Lee Ji Geum' has reached 10 million subscribers.
On the afternoon of the 6th, IU uploaded a short video to her official YouTube channel 'Lee Ji Geum' to celebrate the achievement of 10 million subscribers.
The channel was established in February 2017 and has been maintained for about 8 years. IU started filming the video just before reaching 10 million subscribers, exclaiming, "The moment I said it, we reached 10 million subscribers!" as she celebrated.
Having become a YouTuber with the so-called 'Diamond Button', she added, "I will become a 10 million YouTuber who creates more fun content," and expressed her gratitude to the 10 million subscribers who supported her.
IU debuted as a singer in 2008 and began her acting career in 2011 with the drama 'Dream High'. She is loved as a global star without boundaries, crossing over from stage to drama and film.
In 2022, she became the first K-pop female artist to perform at the Olympic Stadium with 'The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun', and last year, she also performed at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, setting a record as the first female artist to do so.
As an actress, she recently reached the peak of her career by delicately portraying the growth and changes of the main characters, Ae-soon and Geum-myung, in the Netflix series 'My Name is Ahn Eun-jung', which was released over four weeks.
