In the latest episode of ‘Superman Returns,’ trot prodigy Hwang Min-ho and his Superman brother Hwang Min-woo made their first appearance, showcasing their affectionate brotherhood and moving viewers.

The 567th episode of KBS2’s ‘Superman Returns,’ aired on the 2nd, recorded a nationwide rating of 3.7%, continuing its strong performance. (According to Nielsen Korea)

This episode, titled ‘The Trot Prodigy Appears,’ featured the three MCs Park Soo-hong, Choi Ji-woo, and Ahn Young-mi along with Hwang Min-ho. Hwang Min-ho caught attention as he appeared with his Superman brother Hwang Min-woo. The brothers, with a Korean father and a Vietnamese mother, brought warmth with their exceptional bond and explosive energy.

Waking up at 5 AM, Hwang Min-ho practiced a “Miracle Morning” by waking up his brother Hwang Min-woo. Hwang Min-ho, who revealed that he started singing after following his brother, shared, “Playing the janggu in the morning is my routine. I just practice because it’s fun,” showcasing a morning routine befitting a trot prodigy. Before the sun rose, Hwang Min-ho passionately sang and continued with an ecstatic janggu performance that left everyone in awe. Hwang Min-ho, who stated he has been self-taught for a year, impressed everyone with his dazzling janggu performance. Additionally, when Hwang Min-ho was seen managing gifts and pocket money in a personal safe given by fans, Park Soo-hong praised him, saying, “You’re doing really well,” which brought laughter.

Brother Hwang Min-woo, providing meticulous feedback like a senior singer, helped with practice and took care of Hwang Min-ho’s school preparations, showing his caring brotherly side.

Hwang Min-woo, who revealed that he received hate comments due to being from a multicultural family, expressed, “I worried if Min-ho could handle such views,” tearing up at the thought of his brother getting hurt for the same reasons. Their Vietnamese mother, Bui Thi, tearfully said, “I feel like I’m such an inadequate mom,” evoking sympathy. Hwang Min-woo’s reassuring words, “I try to take good care of Min-ho so he doesn’t have any sad thoughts,” made Hwang Min-ho express his admiration, saying, “I think my brother, who has endured that path, is really amazing,” revealing his affectionate feelings. Kim Jun-ho added, “I hope our Eun-woo and Jung-woo grow up as close as Min-ho and Min-woo,” adding to the warmth of the moment.

Dressed in a red suit, Hwang Min-ho and Hwang Min-woo had a meaningful time meeting their senior Kim Yeon-ja, who has been in the industry for 51 years. Kim Yeon-ja, who formed a bond with Hwang Min-woo 13 years ago on stage, has taken care of the brothers like family for 13 years. The three showcased a fantastic synergy that reflected their 13-year relationship, performing a joint stage that made everyone want to dance. Unable to contain their explosive energy, Hwang Min-ho and Hwang Min-woo, along with Kim Yeon-ja, complained of dizziness after their surprise performance, causing laughter.

When Hwang Min-ho presented a new song stage filled with poignant emotions and vocal power, Kim Yeon-ja offered advice drawn from her 51 years of experience as a singer. She sincerely praised him, saying, “Min-ho, every day is different. It’s not easy to grow rapidly. It feels like you’re taking a thousand steps in one step.” She also expressed her heartfelt emotions, saying, “I’m so happy that you both are doing well,” as she was moved by how much the brothers have grown and become popular singers since they first met.
