BLACKPINK's Jennie has made history as the first K-Pop solo artist to receive an award at the U.S. music awards 'Billboard Women in Music.'

On the 29th (local time), Jennie attended the 'Billboard Women in Music 2025' held at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, where she received the 'Global Force Award.'

Jennie expressed her gratitude, saying, "It is truly an honor and a pride to receive the 'Global Force Award' in a place filled with beautiful women who inspire many. I draw inspiration from women all over the world, and I want to continue to be someone who can positively influence many people."

The 'Billboard Women in Music' awards recognize the top female artists, creators, producers, and executives who have made a significant impact on the music industry in a given year. Previously, Billboard introduced Jennie by stating, "The unique Jennie has gained explosive global influence since starting her solo activities."

Jennie has been breaking records with her recently released first solo studio album 'Ruby,' creating a global phenomenon. 'Ruby' charted on the U.S. Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200' for two consecutive weeks, and the title track 'Like Jennie' reached the 'Top 10' on both the Billboard 'Global (excluding U.S.)' chart and the 'Global 200' chart for two weeks in a row.

Jennie will perform solo at the largest music festival in the U.S., the 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival,' on April 13 and 20.
