Aespa's Winter and (G)I-DLE's Miyeon have each donated 100 million won for the recovery from the large-scale wildfire damage.
On the 28th, the Korean Red Cross (Chairman Kim Cheol-soo) announced that Aespa's Winter donated 100 million won for wildfire relief.
Winter stated, “I want to convey my deep condolences to those who have lost their ordinary days due to the wildfire,” and added, “I hope the wildfire is extinguished quickly so that everyone can return to their precious daily lives as soon as possible.”
Miyeon also generously donated 100 million won through the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. Miyeon expressed, “I felt so heartbroken watching the news. I hope this can provide even a little strength to those affected,” and said, “I sincerely wish for everyone to regain their daily lives as soon as possible.”
Their donations will be used for emergency relief, provision of daily necessities, and operation of temporary shelters for residents in wildfire-affected areas such as Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam.
Additionally, actress Kim So-hyun donated 50 million won through the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. Kim So-hyun expressed, “I extend my deep condolences and sympathy to those affected, and I hope the flames are extinguished as soon as possible,” and added, “I am grateful for the dedication of firefighters and rescue workers, and I sincerely wish for everyone to safely overcome this crisis and regain a peaceful daily life.”
