Singer and actress IU talked about negative comments.

On the 11th, IU appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Theo’ in ‘Salon Drip 2’.

On that day, IU said, “There are a few things I was born with as Lee Ji-eun. One of them is self-objectification. Isn’t it possible for someone to speak ill of me somewhere? Know that the saying ‘She has celebrity syndrome’ is a lie. That doesn’t hold. I don’t think I’m that great.”

She continued, “You can say ‘She’s rude.’ That’s just me being rude. It’s not because of celebrity syndrome; I was just born rude.”

Jang Do-yeon asked, “There must be really good comments and feedback, but have you ever seen absurd hate?” IU responded, “There are claims that I’m not Korean,” expressing her disbelief. She continued, “I’ve never considered personal opinions like ‘I’m ugly, can’t sing, and can’t act’ as hate from the start. That’s fine, but I think making up things like ‘What has she done?’ needs to be penalized. I’m not working alone, am I?”

IU said, “There’s a rumor that I hit someone when I was young. I’ve only hit my younger brother,” which drew laughter. When Jang Do-yeon joked, “That’s your younger brother,” IU replied, “Oh, is it? I hadn’t thought of that,” playfully responding.

Meanwhile, IU mentioned that she talks with her family about various topics, saying, “We even talk about how long we want to live.” She expressed, “I want to live until about 80. Since my father wants to live until 106, I guess I’ll follow my parents’ lead. It feels a bit strange to live a day or two longer without my parents.”

IU stated, “I tell my younger brother, ‘You really need to be filial.’ I say, ‘Will our parents leave me an inheritance later? You’ll inherit everything anyway.’ (My parents) probably don’t plan to leave me anything financially. Of course, when I actually asked, my parents said they would divide it equally among the four siblings.”

To this, Jang Do-yeon remarked, “If I were your parents, I would want to keep my money too,” to which IU laughed and said, “So I said I would be excluded. I told them to divide it into thirds, excluding my share.”
