In the 8th episode of Channel A's weekend drama ‘Witch’, which aired on the 9th, the story opened from the perspective of Mi-jeong (No Jung-ui) during her high school days, achieving a nationwide rating of 3.1% and 3.2% in the metropolitan area, setting a new personal best.
At the end of Mi-jeong's gaze at that time was Dong-jin (Park Jin-young). When Jeong-hwan (Bae Yoon-kyu), who confessed his feelings to Mi-jeong, was struck by lightning and died, everyone gathered to chat, but no one genuinely mourned. After that, ten years passed, and she saw Dong-jin again, who had jumped off a bridge over the Han River.
Having jumped off the bridge to escape ‘The Law of Death’, Dong-jin was focused on piecing together the last puzzle. Everyone who had loved Mi-jeong even a little was either hurt or dead, raising the question of what had happened to the person Mi-jeong loved. In the process of uncovering this, he discovered that ‘Mi-jeong's heart’ was the variable.
The evidence was her first love, Ik-jong (Joo Jong-hyuk). He had spent more than ten minutes within 10 meters of Mi-jeong, exchanged more than ten words with her, and even confessed to her. He met all the conditions of ‘The Law of Death’ but had lived without any accidents until now. The incident where he was stung by a wasp was actually a lie that Mi-jeong had covered for him, as he considered it a complex. Mi-jeong's feelings were indeed the decisive variable that could break ‘The Law of Death’.

Mi-jeong must love Dong-jin.
Dong-jin, who staked everything on that one possibility, prepared to leave somewhere. Before that, he stopped by Mi-jeong's rooftop, took off his helmet, and stood before her for the first time as ‘Lee Dong-jin’. He conveyed the feelings he had kept in his heart for a long time, saying, “It’s not your fault. Now do what you want. It’s okay.” Although counting on his fingers to avoid exceeding ten words became pointless, it was something he wanted to say to Mi-jeong even if ‘The Law of Death’ came crashing down on him again.
Once again, Dong-jin, who exceeded ten words, quickly faced a crisis. The sparks from the transformer and the threatening vehicles passing by were simple patterns and all expected situations. Dong-jin dodged them one by one and moved forward. But at that moment, a vehicle came rushing towards him. With his fate resting on the last variable, the tension peaked in the ending, leaving viewers wondering if Dong-jin could safely pass through ‘The Law of Death’ once again.
