Despite various controversies, KBS entertainment is ambitiously moving forward. With Kang Ho-dong, Lee Min-jung, and Park Bo-gum on board, it aims to compete with a more popular and youthful energy.
Recently, a presentation for the 2025 KBS Spring New Entertainment Programs was held at the KBS New Building in Yeouido, Seoul. The event was attended by Han Kyung-cheon, head of the entertainment center, along with CPs Lee Hwang-seon for 'Study and Play', Park Deok-seon for 'Coming and Going with Lee Min-jung', Park Seok-hyung for 'The Seasons', and Park Min-jung for 'Problematic Kids in the Rooftop Room', who introduced the big picture for this year.
Han Kyung-cheon stated, "Last year had many trial and error experiences, and this year we have cast more popular figures," adding, "Kang Ho-dong is returning to KBS after 10 years since 'Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education'. 'Problematic Kids in the Rooftop Room' is also making a return with Hong Jin-kyung and Joo Woo-jae. Lee Min-jung is taking her first challenge in outdoor variety." He emphasized, "We are excited and ambitious. We have also brought in figures like Park Bo-gum who will appeal to the younger demographic aged 20-49."
The quiz talk show 'Study and Play', hosted by broadcaster Kang Ho-dong, will air on the 31st at 9:50 PM.
CP Lee Hwang-seon described 'Study and Play' as "a show where famous individuals with elementary school children appear for about 8 minutes to discuss what their children are learning in school," adding, "Lee Soo-hyun, a trot prodigy, will represent the children's true feelings, while Lee Ho-young will serve as a bridge. We aim for a wholesome entertainment experience."
The seventh season of 'The Seasons', hosted by actor Park Bo-gum, titled 'Park Bo-gum's Cantabile', will unveil on the 14th. The returning knowledge talk show 'Problematic Kids in the Rooftop Room' will air on April 3 at 8:30 PM. Actor Lee Min-jung's rural reality show 'Coming and Going with Lee Min-jung' will premiere on May 23 at 10 PM.
The entertainment center head expressed pride, stating, "KBS programs may sometimes seem outdated and may lag in trendiness. However, I am confident that they will be programs that families can comfortably watch for a long time."
