Actor Bae Yong-joon has made a positive impact through his donation.
According to a newsletter from Yonsei Medical Center last December, Bae Yong-joon, CEO of B.O.F Investment, donated 3 billion won for the development of the medical center.
Bae Yong-joon personally attended the donation ceremony and stated, “Despite the difficult situation in the medical field, I hope the medical center continues to develop and grow into an institution that leads future medicine. I sincerely wish that this donation will serve as a foundation for the innovative future of the medical center and contribute to creating a healthy world for everyone, including low-income youth and infants.”
The donated funds will be used for the development of the medical center as well as for the treatment costs of low-income youth and infants.
Along with this donation news, it has been reported that Bae Yong-joon and his wife Park Soo-jin also donated to a private school in Hawaii.
According to the donor list released by Iolani School, a private school in Hawaii, for the 2023-2024 school year, Bae Yong-joon and Park Soo-jin are listed as donors contributing between $10,000 (14.4 million won) and $24,999 (36 million won). It has been reported that their children attend this school. Currently, it is known that the Bae Yong-joon family has moved to Hawaii.
Bae Yong-joon debuted in 1994 with the KBS drama ‘A Greeting of Love’ and gained immense popularity both domestically and internationally with works such as ‘First Love’, ‘Hotelier’, ‘Winter Sonata’, and ‘The Legend’.
Later, Bae Yong-joon married Park Soo-jin, a former member of the group Sugar, in July 2015, and they have a son and a daughter.
