Voice actor and actor Choi Byeong-hak has passed away.
According to his family on the 10th, the late Choi Byeong-hak died from acute myocardial infarction. He was 85 years old.
Born in 1940 in Yecheon, North Gyeongsang Province, he joined the MBC Voice Acting Troupe in 1965 after going through Korean Broadcasting (now EBS) in 1961. His peers included Hwang Il-cheong and Lee Young-dal.
The late Choi Byeong-hak lent his voice to numerous domestic and international animations, films, and dramas, including 'Mazinger Z,' 'The Turbulent 30 Years,' 'Romeo and Juliet,' 'Lethal Weapon 4,' and 'Ultra Exploration Team,' connecting with viewers.
As an actor, he actively communicated with the public by appearing in various works across genres, including 'The Famous Seven Princesses,' 'Immortal Yi Sun-sin,' 'Lovers in Paris,' 'The Third Republic,' 'Love and Ambition,' and 'Jang Hee-bin.'
The late Choi Byeong-hak also received a special award in the dubbing category for foreign films at MBC in 1984 for 'The Study Bugs of Harvard University.'
The late Choi's funeral is set up at Room 1 of the Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary's Hospital. The funeral will be held on the 11th at 7:10 AM.
