Broadcaster Bae Seong-jae (47) and SBS announcer Kim Da-young (33) are getting married.
Bae Seong-jae's agency SM C&C announced on the 7th, “Bae Seong-jae will tie the knot with Kim Da-young in May. After two years of dating, the two have recently promised to become partners.”
They added, “The couple wishes to start quietly, omitting all formalities, and will instead hold a family meal as a substitute for the ceremony. We kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot provide specific details regarding other matters related to the marriage as they are private.”
The agency also stated, “We deeply appreciate everyone who has consistently supported Bae Seong-jae and watched over him with warm hearts, and we promise to greet you with good programs in the future.”
Earlier, a media outlet reported that Bae Seong-jae and Kim Da-young developed their relationship through the SBS variety show ‘Goal Diggers’ (also known as ‘Golddae’). It was also reported that the two, who have quietly dated for about two years, have recently decided to get married and are preparing to become a couple with the blessings and congratulations of those around them.
Bae Seong-jae entered the broadcasting industry as a KBS 31st public recruitment regional announcer in 2005 and moved to SBS as a 14th public recruitment announcer in 2006. After leaving the company in 2021, he transitioned to freelance work and has appeared in various entertainment shows such as ‘Golddae’, ‘National Team is National Team’, ‘Hello Trot’, ‘Ramen Kkondae’, ‘Flame Band’, and ‘Legendary League’.
Kim Da-young worked at Mokpo MBC and Busan MBC before joining SBS as a career announcer in 2021. She has served as a fixed guest on SBS Radio Power FM’s ‘Kim Young-chul’s Power FM’ and as a weekday anchor for sports news on ‘SBS 8 News’. She has also been active as a member of FC Anaconda on ‘Golddae’.
