Singer Lim Young-woong has been selected as the number one star people want to watch the New Year's sunrise with.
In a survey conducted by Idol Chart from December 16 to December 22, asking "Which star do you want to watch the New Year's sunrise with in 2025?", Lim Young-woong received a total of 226,512 votes out of 302,004 votes (approximately 75% voting rate), securing the first place.
In second place was Lee Chan-won, who received 70,352 votes (approximately 23% voting rate). Following him were BTS's RM (2,048 votes), Kim Hee-jae (683 votes), Miss Kim (452 votes), BLACKPINK's Rosé (379 votes), G-Dragon (341 votes), Lee Mu-jin (279 votes), Jung Dong-won (208 votes), Red Velvet's Irene (153 votes), NewJeans' Hani (136 votes), Fromis 9 (124 votes), Roy Kim (111 votes), aespa's Winter (78 votes), Lee Seung-gi (61 votes), Hwang Ga-ram (32 votes), Pentagon's Hui (27 votes), Lee Young-ji (25 votes), I-LAND (2 votes), and Baby Monster (1 vote) in that order.
