Actor Choi Min-sik expressed his apologies and gratitude to the citizens participating in the impeachment rally against President Yoon Suk-yeol.

On the 13th, the 25th Busan Film Critics Association Awards took place at the Busan Cinema Center. Choi Min-sik won the Best Actor award for his role in the film 'The Burial'.

Upon taking the stage to accept his award, Choi Min-sik began by saying, “I truly hope everyone has a happy weekend tomorrow.” He continued, “On one hand, I want to say this. Despite the tremendous despair and pain we are experiencing, I saw so many young friends waving their support sticks, which they call impeachment sticks. I felt so sorry as a member of the older generation for showing them this absurd world.”

He added, “I have experienced a state of emergency once or twice in my life. I never thought I would experience it again after turning sixty. In such an absurd situation,” he said, “those young friends are shaking their support sticks on the cold asphalt, smiling on the outside as if it were a concert, but I felt so sorry for them. I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere apologies and gratitude.”

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party and six other opposition parties submitted a second impeachment motion against President Yoon Suk-yeol to the National Assembly on the 12th. A vote is scheduled for 4 PM on the 14th.
