At the ‘TV Chosun College Song Festival’, Lee Jae-yeop from Baekseok Arts University won the prestigious Grand Prize. The Grand Prize comes with a cash award of 100 million won, along with opportunities for a nationwide tour concert and digital album release.
His original song ‘Voice Phishing (Boy’s Fishing)’, written with the heart of a boy wanting to catch people, received overwhelming support from the public, leading him to become the inaugural champion.
After receiving the award, Lee Jae-yeop expressed his gratitude, saying, “I will repay this Grand Prize through my music. I will love and honor my parents, who have only worried about me,” and added, “To all the participants and judges, let’s go eat beef together,” expressing his excitement with a generous acceptance speech.
The finals of the ‘TV Chosun College Song Festival’, held live on the 12th, featured the final stage with a competition of original songs from the TOP 10.
The Grand Prize was awarded to Lee Jae-yeop from Baekseok Arts University with a total score of 1917.55 points for his song ‘Clear-Eyed Flatfish’, the Gold Prize went to ‘Rebellion of Non-Major Bands’ from Kyung Hee University with a total score of 1797.60 points, and the Silver Prize was awarded to ‘Shining Star’ from Seokyeong University with a total score of 1500.76 points. The Bronze Prize went to ‘Flawless Tone Goddess’ Choi Yeo-won from Seoul Institute of the Arts, who caused a major upset by rising from the last place in the rankings with a total score of 1447.66 points, while the Encouragement Prize went to ‘Musical Prince’ Hwang Geon-woo from Dongguk University with a total score of 1257.30 points.
In 6th place was Petupe from Seoul Institute of the Arts with a total score of 1197.39 points, 7th place went to Holy Bear from Seokyeong University and Seokyeong University Graduate School with a total score of 1190.49 points, 8th place was Oysters from Howon University with a total score of 1124.80 points, 9th place went to Jo Hyun-seo from Seokyeong University Graduate School with a total score of 1123.64 points, and 10th place was Shepherd Boy Band from Howon University and Dong-Ah Broadcasting University with a total score of 1056.05 points.
