Jungwon of the group ENHYPEN has directly clarified the dating rumors with Aespa's Winter.
On the 12th, Jungwon held a live broadcast through the official fan community Weverse.
During the broadcast, while reading fans' comments, he said, “Someone asked if I’m dating, but I’m not dating.” He added, “They also asked if I smoke, but I don’t smoke either.”
Jungwon further stated, “To the person who posted that, I don’t know how you plan to handle this, but I’m not dating and I don’t smoke. It’s ridiculous.”
Recently, online communities drew attention with reports and photos claiming that Winter and Jungwon were spotted enjoying a date in Seoul. However, both parties' agencies quickly denied the rumors.
Aespa's agency, SM Entertainment, stated, “The dating rumors are completely unfounded,” adding, “The person who spread the photos contacted a media outlet for monetary purposes and attempted to communicate directly with us, but when the outlet refused to connect for monetary tips, they maliciously spread the information, and we will take legal action.”
ENHYPEN's agency, Belift Lab, also stated, “These dating rumors are not true. Belift Lab plans to take a strong stance against acts that invade the artists' privacy and generate and spread malicious rumors.”
Meanwhile, Aespa's first full-length album 'Armageddon', released in May, has achieved mega hits with its title track 'Supernova', sweeping various awards such as Album of the Year, Best Song of the Year, and Best Music Video at year-end music award ceremonies, marking a career high.
ENHYPEN recorded their highest ranking of 2nd on the Billboard 200 chart with their second full album 'ROMANCE: UNTOLD', released in July. They are currently on their world tour 'WALK THE LINE'.
