It has been five years since the late Cha In-ha (real name Lee Jae-ho) passed away.
He was found dead at his home on December 3, 2019, at the age of 27.
At the time, Cha In-ha was appearing as Joo Won-seok, the second older brother of Joo Seo-yeon (played by Oh Yeon-seo), in the MBC drama "People with Flaws," which was airing at the time, making the shock even greater. His sudden death left "People with Flaws" as Cha In-ha's final work. His filmed segments were broadcast as per the wishes of his family.
At that time, his agency Fantagio stated, "Cha In-ha was an actor with a passionate love for acting. His determination to pursue his dream of acting at his own pace still vividly comes to mind."
They continued, "We sincerely supported and loved Cha In-ha, who always brightened the surroundings with his radiant smile. The 27-year-old actor, who particularly liked being called 'Cha Star,' will forever remain an everlasting star in our hearts, embodying the youth that never stopped dreaming for a single moment."
The agency added, "We will never forget and will always remember our dazzling youth, our Cha Star actor Cha In-ha."
Cha In-ha made his debut in 2017 with the film "You Deep Inside My Heart." He was also a member of the actor group Surprise U created by Fantagio. He was gradually building his filmography with appearances in dramas such as "Rich Man," "Are You Human Too?" and "Clean with Passion for Now," which adds to the sense of loss.
