Trot singer Park Seo-jin's exemption from military service has come to light recently.
Park Seo-jin's agency, Tajo Entertainment, confirmed on the 28th to Maeil Business Star Today, "It is true that Park Seo-jin has been exempted from military service." They further explained, "He received the exemption due to mental illness stemming from family issues in his early twenties."
Park Seo-jin has faced mental challenges such as depression and insomnia due to his family circumstances and received the military service exemption after undergoing a physical examination by the Military Manpower Administration.
Recently, Park Seo-jin appeared on the KBS2 variety show 'Salim Men 2' and shared his difficult past. He revealed that his younger brother, who suffered from chronic kidney failure, passed away at the age of 23, and on the day of his younger brother's 49th day memorial, his older brother, who was battling liver cancer, died at the age of 27 due to complications from a liver transplant. He also mentioned that his mother was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer and was undergoing treatment, which evoked sympathy.
