Actress Son Ye-jin confessed that she feels true happiness in her daily life with her son.
On the 21st, a video titled "But your son is so cute, Ye-jin... The genes are undeniable?" was released on the YouTube channel 'Fairy Jae-hyung'. During the broadcast, Jung Jae-hyung asked Son Ye-jin, "Do you have any dreams these days?"
Son Ye-jin replied, "I think I'm so happy these days that I feel like I'm experiencing the happiness of everyday life for the first time." She added, "Going to the playground with my child and husband is so joyful. Eating together as a family of three, and swinging with my child at the playground, I feel a perfect, fulfilling happiness that I've never felt before."
She continued, "Before, it was hard to feel happiness separate from the responsibility of my work. I lived under the pressure that my next project had to do better, always feeling like I was climbing stairs. Now, I have the thought that it's okay to take a break and a broader perspective."
Son Ye-jin said, "Life is only once, and I reflect on why I constrained myself and lived in pain during my 20s and 30s." To this, Jung Jae-hyung responded, "That pain made you. Feeling happiness while swinging is the you of now," and Son Ye-jin laughed, saying, "If I had kept swinging, I wouldn't have felt it."
She also added, "Now I realize this is true happiness. In fact, they are all small things, but those are the most precious."
Son Ye-jin married actor Hyun Bin in 2022 and welcomed their son in November of the same year. After focusing on parenting and taking a break from her activities, she made her return to the screen after seven years with the film 'There’s No Way'. On the 17th, she also attended the red carpet of the 30th Busan International Film Festival held at the Busan Haeundae Cinema Center.
