Actor Lee Byung-hun shared his honest reaction after watching the teaser video for the movie ‘I Can’t Help It’.
On the 12th, a video titled ‘The Must-See Movie of the Year’ was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Channel 15’. The video featured director Park Chan-wook, Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Lee Sung-min, Park Hwi-soon, and Yeom Hye-ran enjoying a barbecue party while discussing their new film.
Producer Na Young-seok mentioned the recently released teaser for the movie ‘I Can’t Help It’, saying, “Everyone reacted with ‘What is this?’ while watching it.” In response, Lee Byung-hun admitted, “I also thought, what is this? I didn’t understand it at first either.”
He said, “I read a lot of books and prepared, but the scenes passed by quickly and briefly, so I didn’t understand it at first. But when I thought about it quietly, I started to understand.”
In response, director Park Chan-wook explained, “If you show everything in the teaser, it’s not fun. The essence is to show it briefly and provoke curiosity.” He added, “This work is the funniest movie I’ve made. It’s rated for ages 15 and has a low entry barrier, and there’s nothing strange about it.”
Then Lee Byung-hun joked, “There should be something strange. If there’s nothing strange, it’s not a movie by director Park Chan-wook,” which drew laughter.
Meanwhile, the movie ‘I Can’t Help It’ is a satire surrounding a dismissal and depicts human characters, set to be released on the 24th.
