Actress Sunwoo Yong-yeo shared her painful memories of being a victim of a money scam during her life in the United States.
On the 20th, a video titled "First Reveal of Sunwoo Yong-yeo's Son's House in LA, a Feng Shui Lucky Spot" was posted on her YouTube channel.
In the video, Sunwoo Yong-yeo reunited with her daughter Choi Yeon-je and son Kim Jong-wook, who live in LA, USA.
She said, "I remember when I first immigrated. I was younger than my kids are now, and now they are already married, and I have become a grandmother," expressing her feelings.
She then introduced her son Kim Jong-wook's house, saying, "It has all been remodeled. My son calls me every morning to say, 'I fixed this much, it's so nice.' It seems he has found a job that suits him," smiling happily.
However, during the conversation, her daughter Choi Yeon-je mentioned that Sunwoo Yong-yeo had been scammed in a money scheme while living in the U.S. She said, "Mom was so shocked that she was bedridden for months. It was even more shocking because she was deceived by people she trusted. Dad tried to find the culprit, but he said they were already broke," sharing the unfortunate story.
Sunwoo Yong-yeo also revealed, "We went to that house ourselves. They were raising four kids in a 14-pyeong house. I told them, 'Contact me whenever you can make money,' but that was the end of it," shedding tears. She continued, "At that moment, I realized how scary it was. I thought I should never do something like that again."
Choi Yeon-je added, "Seeing my mom struggle broke my heart as her child. Watching her start acting again made me feel that there is a calling for everyone."
Meanwhile, the video also featured a scene from 1987 where the late Lee Joo-il interviewed Sunwoo Yong-yeo in LA, catching attention.
