‘Big Hit Music Rookie’ Cortis has completed preparations to debut. Starting from the 11th, a content bombardment will begin.
Cortis (Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon, Geonho) surprised fans by revealing their debut promotion schedule through a 24-hour premiere on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel starting at midnight on the 10th. They announced their upcoming schedule through five videos screened sequentially from midnight to 3 AM.
The attempt to differentiate from the usual promotion calendars or timetables, which typically announce content release dates through images or short videos, is refreshing. By embedding hints in multiple videos and conveying future schedules in a guerrilla format, they showcase a unique approach that breaks away from conventions. After revealing their team name through short-form content created by the members themselves, they are providing fans with a new kind of fun through unpredictable promotions.
The video released on the 10th captures the members' ordinary daily lives. It shows them skateboarding, hanging on a pull-up bar, and choosing bread, presenting their authentic selves. Just as viewers are enjoying the video, unexpected promotional schedules pop up in places like sticky notes stuck to shoe soles and posters attached to utility poles, grabbing attention.
Cortis will unveil the music video for their debut album's intro track ‘GO!’ at midnight on the 11th. Following that, they will release a conceptual performance film focused on dance at midnight on the 12th. In both videos, viewers will experience the true value of the ‘Young Creator Crew’ that co-creates music, choreography, and visuals.
Cortis will make a grand debut by releasing the title track ‘What You Want’ and a conceptual performance film at 6 PM on the 18th. On the 22nd at 1 PM, they will release the English version of the title track, ‘What You Want (feat. Teezo Touchdown).’ After making a strong impression on the public with their title track activities, they will officially release their debut album ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES’ on September 8th at 6 PM.
Meanwhile, Cortis is currently conducting a 24-hour premiere on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel starting at midnight on the 10th. They are screening new content by the hour and preparing a segment where members answer viewers' questions, filling the day of August 10th with Cortis.
Cortis is the rookie team presented by Big Hit Music, known as the ‘home of boy groups,’ which is home to BTS and Tomorrow X Together, after six years. The group name was created by irregularly taking six letters from ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES.’ It signifies ‘thinking freely outside the standards and rules set by the world.’ All five members, who are teenagers, plan to present works co-created with different thoughts and new perspectives to the world.
