KBS 2TV's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'My Girlfriend is a Man' (written by Lee Hae-na, directed by Yoo Kwan-mo, produced by Studio N, Blossom Entertainment, Playground) is based on the popular Naver webtoon 'My Girlfriend is a Man' (by artist Matstar). The story unfolds a chaotic romance between Kim Ji-eun (Arin), who suddenly becomes a flower boy, and Park Yoon-jae (Yoon San-ha), who cannot give up on his girlfriend.
'My Girlfriend is a Man' features the excellent directing skills of Yoo Kwan-mo, known for enhancing dramatic fun in 'Police Class', 'Woman of 99 Billion', and 'Perfume', along with the solid writing of Lee Hae-na, who brings out the charm of the characters. Additionally, Yoon San-ha and Yoo Jeong-hoo portray the characters of Park Yoon-jae, who is a 'girlfriend lover' when his girlfriend suddenly becomes a man, and Kim Ji-hoon, who is actually Park Yoon-jae's girlfriend Kim Ji-eun but has transformed into a man.
In this context, Yoon San-ha and Yoo Jeong-hoo steal the spotlight in the 'collar grab' scene where they first meet as men. A stranger, Kim Ji-hoon (Yoo Jeong-hoo), appears before Park Yoon-jae, claiming to be Kim Ji-eun. Park Yoon-jae, taken aback by Kim Ji-hoon's story, stands up in anger, while Kim Ji-hoon gazes at him with a wistful look and says, "It's me, Ji-eun..." creating a chaotic atmosphere.
Ultimately, an enraged Park Yoon-jae throws a fist at Kim Ji-hoon, causing Kim Ji-hoon to bleed from his mouth, looking tearful and wronged, leading to a collaboration of disbelief and tears. It remains to be seen whether Park Yoon-jae can accept that Kim Ji-hoon is the transformed version of his girlfriend, and whether Kim Ji-hoon can resolve his grievances and be with Park Yoon-jae.
