IVE's Liz, the 'MZ Wannabe Icon', will make her first professional baseball pitch.
According to her agency Starship Entertainment, Liz will participate in the '2025 KBO League' game between the LG Twins and KIA Tigers, which will be held at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul on the 29th at 5 PM. She has been invited as the ceremonial first pitcher to wish for the LG Twins' victory.
Previously, Liz appeared as a first batter in the last live game of JTBC's 'Strongest Baseball' Season 3, which aired in February. Along with member An Yujin, she brightened the stadium with her vibrant visuals and energetic presence, and now she is set to challenge her first pitch in this upcoming game.
Liz expressed her feelings through her agency, saying, “I am very honored to have my first pitch with the LG Twins. I thank the team for this precious opportunity, and I hope all the players show a wonderful game without injuries. Since it’s my first pitch, I am very excited and nervous, but I will do my best to throw with the heart wishing for the LG Twins' victory.”
Debuting with IVE in 2021, Liz has showcased a strong presence from the beginning with her stunning features and solid vocal skills. She has proven her live performance abilities through various broadcasts and content, participated in drama OSTs such as 'Summer' and 'Heavy Love', solidifying her position as a vocalist, and expanded her musical capabilities by co-writing the song 'Thank U' from IVE's third album released in February.
IVE, to which Liz belongs, is set to perform at 'Lollapalooza Berlin' and 'Lollapalooza Paris' this July. With their pre-released track 'REBEL HEART' achieving a 'Perfect All-Kill' on major domestic music charts and leading the 'Raging Guinea Pig' challenge with their title track 'ATTITUDE', there is great interest in how IVE will perform on the global festival stage.
Meanwhile, IVE was honored to receive the main award for three consecutive years at the '34th Seoul Music Awards' held on the 21st.
