The group Ailit (ILLIT) has taken over the top ranks of major album charts in Japan.
According to the latest report from Oricon on the 26th, Ailit (Yuna, Minju, Mocha, Wonhee, Iroha) has reached 2nd place on the 'Weekly Combined Album Ranking' (as of June 30 / counting period June 16-22) with their mini album 'bomb'. This album also ranked 2nd in the 'Weekly Album Ranking' for the same period.
The Oricon 'Weekly Combined Album Ranking' is calculated by combining CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming counts. Ailit has broken the record of their previous mini album 'I'LL LIKE YOU' in this chart, achieving the highest points for the team.

Ailit has also achieved significant results on Billboard Japan. 'bomb' reached 2nd place on the Billboard Japan 'Top Album Sales' (as of June 25 / counting period June 16-22) and 3rd place on 'Hot Albums'. The title track 'Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)' landed at 3rd place on the rising chart 'Hot Shot Songs'.
Ailit is breaking previous records with every album both domestically and in Japan. Their new release recorded over 400,000 copies in first-week sales (sales within the first week after release) in Korea, topping the Hanteo Chart and Circle Chart weekly album charts (3rd week of June). Notably, in Japan, it surpassed the previous week's sales on the first day of release, showing a steep upward trend.
The title track 'Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)' is also receiving a good response on various charts. After its release, the song entered Melon's 'Top 100' and has been cruising since, maintaining the top spot on Apple Music Korea's 'Today's Top 100' for six consecutive days (June 18-23). Following their comeback on the 16th, Ailit's various music show stages have gained popularity through word of mouth.
Meanwhile, Ailit captivated global fans with their performance of 'Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)', which embodies a magical girl sentiment, on Mnet's 'M Countdown' the day before (26th). They will continue their momentum by appearing on KBS2's 'Music Bank' today (27th), MBC's 'Show! Music Core' on the 28th, and SBS's 'Inkigayo' on the 29th.
