Professional Go player Lee Sedol expressed his difficulties while participating in 'Devil's Plan'.
On the morning of the 29th, a production presentation for the Netflix variety show 'Devil's Plan: Death Room' took place at Hotel Naru M Gallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Attendees included PD Jeong Jong-yeon, Lee Sedol, Kyuhyun, Kang Ji-young, Yoon So-hee, Seven High, Lee Seung-hyun, Jeong Hyun-kyu, Choi Hyun-jun, Chu, Kim Ha-rin, Park Sang-yeon, Son Eun-yu, and Tino.
PD Jeong Jong-yeon discussed the changes from the last season to this season, stating, "The biggest change is that the living quarters are divided into two: the living room and the prison room. Players in the prison room will participate in prison matches, and the location for these matches is the Death Room," adding, "The existence of the prison room is the most significant aspect. It may seem simple, but I expected it to change the overall tone of the season, and it seems to have done so."
Among the participating players, Lee Sedol garnered the most attention and shared his reason for participating, saying, "I thought it would be a good experience, and it turned out to be just that."
Lee Sedol remarked, "It was my first time feeling competition outside of Go," and added, "It felt difficult and challenging to accept new things in a new environment. As time passed, I found it enjoyable and realized I was having fun."
When asked which was more difficult between Go and 'Devil's Plan', Lee Sedol immediately responded, "'Devil's Plan' is definitely harder."
'Devil's Plan: Death Room' is a brain survival game where players from various professions stay together for seven days to determine the best brain. Participants include Lee Sedol, Kyuhyun, Kang Ji-young, Yoon So-hee, Seven High, Lee Seung-hyun, Jeong Hyun-kyu, Choi Hyun-jun, Chu, Kim Ha-rin, Park Sang-yeon, Son Eun-yu, and Tino, who engage in an intense battle of wits and psychological warfare. It will be released on May 6.
