Dog trainer Kang Hyung-wook has begun to walk the true path of a trainer again after going through painful times. Following the 'abuse controversy' that arose last year, he candidly revealed that he experienced a weight loss of 13kg and hair loss due to extreme stress.
On the 22nd, Kang Hyung-wook released a video titled '6-Month Progress Report on Hair Loss Treatment' on his YouTube channel, Bodum TV. In the video, he recalled, "Between May and July of last year, I lost 13kg in just a fortnight, and my hair loss worsened due to stress," adding, "When I woke up, there were so many hairs on the floor that I had to vacuum."
He also shared that it was not easy for him to visit the hospital. "I was so embarrassed to go to the hospital alone that I turned back twice at the door. Eventually, on my third visit, I went in holding my wife's hand," he confessed. He added that at that time, his condition was so serious that he had to use hair powder to cover his head while continuing his broadcasting activities.

He also opened up about his concerns as a trainer. "When I tell a dog to 'lie down,' I was worried about whether the top of my head would be visible," he honestly conveyed his inner discomfort. At the hospital, he received a diagnosis that "the hair is definitely thicker and has grown a lot," and he was told that with further treatment, he could recover to the level he had in high school, to which he humorously added, "I didn't have much even then," eliciting laughter.

Last year, Kang Hyung-wook was embroiled in controversy after being sued by former employees of his company, Bodum Company, for 'abuse allegations' such as unauthorized access to company messaging. As a result, he stepped down from KBS2's "Dogs Are Incredible" and temporarily suspended his broadcasting activities. However, last month, the police cleared Kang Hyung-wook and his wife of any charges, bringing the case to a close.
Along with his physical and mental recovery, Kang Hyung-wook took time to reflect on himself. He stated, "I am still young and have many areas where I lack wisdom," and vowed, "Until now, I was a trainer with only knowledge, but from now on, I will become a truly 'wise trainer.'

Having grown from 'knowledge to wisdom' through pain, recovery, and reflection, Kang Hyung-wook is now transforming into a trainer who comforts not only dogs but also people's hearts.
"A true trainer is someone who can train not only animals but also themselves" — this is the record of growth that Kang Hyung-wook has shown.
