The original marathon entertainment show MBN's 'Run to Live' has confirmed its second season and will be coming to viewers' homes in November.
Having first aired in April and sparked a nationwide marathon craze, MBN's 'Run to Live' will broadcast its Season 2 premiere on November 16. While Season 1 captured the marathon challenges and growth stories of novice runners, Season 2, aptly subtitled 'Ultimate Running Crew Battle', will feature stars who are serious about running participating as 'players' in various competitions, competing in intense races against formidable crews in the 'Ultimate Crew Battle'.
In this context, Sean, who was very active in Season 1, along with Lee Young-pyo, Yang Se-hyung, and Ko Han-min, will be cast in Season 2 to continue the 'Run to Live' universe. Having served as the team leader, deputy leader, commentator, and coach in Season 1, they will participate as full-fledged 'players' in Season 2, showcasing their true skills and competitive spirit.
In particular, Sean, known as a 'donation angel' and 'marathon evangelist', is expected to play a significant role as the spiritual pillar and representative player of the 'Ultimate Running Crew' once again, while former national soccer player Lee Young-pyo, who has been consistently active as a marathon runner after retirement, is determined to showcase his skills in Season 2.
Yang Se-hyung, a well-known 'running lover' in the entertainment industry, is also eager to leave behind the regrets of being in the commentary booth in Season 1 and show his true passion for marathon running by participating as a runner in Season 2. Additionally, with the participation of actor Ko Han-min, the best runner in the entertainment industry, the 'Ultimate Running Crew's goal of winning a marathon competition is looking promising. Furthermore, Season 2 is raising expectations with the announcement of an unprecedented lineup of guests.
The production team stated, "The warm love from viewers for Season 1 has expanded into a running craze, and we are returning in November with a larger scale for Season 2. The fresh fun of seeing Sean, Lee Young-pyo, Yang Se-hyung, and Ko Han-min, who were pillars of Season 1, actively participating as players will not only provide entertainment but also lead viewers into the real world of running." They added, "Above all, many celebrity runners who love running will participate in Season 2 to showcase their skills, so please look forward to their performances."
Meanwhile, the production team of 'Run to Live' will air 'Run to Live in Sydney', which captures the challenges of the 'Run Crew' participating in the 'Sydney Marathon', one of the world's top seven marathon events, as a special feature of Season 1's victory, over two weeks on November 2 and 9. Following that, they will return to viewers' homes with the first episode of 'Run to Live' Season 2 on November 16.
