The popular tvN weekend drama 'The Tyrant's Chef' is planning a special broadcast to ease the disappointment of its ending.

On the 23rd, a representative from 'The Tyrant's Chef' stated to Maeil Business Star Today, "Thanks to the love from our viewers, we are planning 'The Tyrant's Chef Special - No Retreat' with Im Yoon-a, Lee Chae-min, Kang Han-na, Oh Ui-sik, and Lee Joo-an," adding, "We will provide details such as the release platform as soon as they are finalized."

'The Tyrant's Chef' is a survival fantasy romantic comedy where chef Yeon Ji-young (played by Im Yoon-a), who time slips to the past at her best moment, meets the worst tyrant and owner of an absolute palate, King Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min).

Starting with a viewership rating of 4.9% (based on Nielsen Korea's nationwide paid households) during its first broadcast last month, 'The Tyrant's Chef' has recorded significant increases each week, achieving a new personal best viewership rating of 15.8% in its latest episode, the 10th.

Additionally, the main character Im Yoon-a has sparked a syndrome by ranking first for five consecutive weeks in the TV-OTT comprehensive cast popularity and TV-OTT drama cast popularity categories, as announced by the popularity research agency Good Data Corporation's Fundex.

Furthermore, according to Netflix's official viewing ranking aggregation site Tudum, 'The Tyrant's Chef' has reached the number one spot in the Global 10 TV (non-English) category, captivating global viewers.

With only two episodes remaining, anticipation is building for what kind of fun the special broadcast will bring.

Episodes 11 and the final episode of 'The Tyrant's Chef' will air on the 27th and 28th at 9:10 PM on tvN.
