Comedian Yoon Jung-soo has revealed his newlywed home for the first time.
In the episode of TV Chosun’s ‘Lovers of Joseon’ aired on the 22nd, the daily life of the soon-to-be couple Yoon Jung-soo and Won Jin-seo was depicted.
On that day, the production team of ‘Lovers of Joseon’ visited Yoon Jung-soo's home. When the crew commented, “It seems like a spacious place for someone living alone,” Yoon Jung-soo laughed and said, “I have a lot of stuff. I pushed myself to get a larger space. It’s about 50 pyeong. It’s a jeonse, (effectively) a monthly rent.”
When the crew asked, “Why do you have so much stuff?” Yoon Jung-soo recalled his bankruptcy, saying, “The house I used to live in was really big, but I had to rush and take all my things out at that time. Even after 10 years, I still haven’t reduced my stuff.”
Yoon Jung-soo took out documents related to his debts that were seized by the court during his bankruptcy from his hobby room. He said, “I keep this document to remind myself to stay focused. I don’t open it. Just looking at it is scary.”
Yoon Jung-soo recovered his credit in 2016 after settling all his debts. He stated, “What I got rid of related to bankruptcy was the details of the money I borrowed. I wrote everything down, and after paying it back, I tore it up and burned it. It felt refreshing. I didn’t want to leave a record of my debts.”
Introducing his clothing room, Yoon Jung-soo explained, “The reason I left that rack empty is that my fiancée’s clothes will probably come here soon.”
When the crew asked, “Is this your newlywed home?” Yoon Jung-soo replied, “Yes. Since the wedding date is set, we plan to live here for now. It could be for 6 months or a year.” He added with a smile, “It feels good. We’ve never lived together before.”
Yoon Jung-soo mentioned, “My fiancée also wants to live in a nice place, but she said it would be a waste of money to decorate the house, so she agreed to just live here for now. It’s a jeonse house, and I’m really grateful. I said we should live like this for a few years until we save up a bit more.”
