Lee Seung-yeon shared her thoughts on her appearance in ‘Intimate Ripley’.
On the afternoon of the 22nd, the online production presentation for KBS2's new daily drama ‘Intimate Ripley’ was released. Director Son Seok-jin and actors Lee Si-ah, Lee Il-hwa, Lee Seung-yeon, Choi Jong-hwan, Seol Jung-hwan, Han Gi-woong, and Lee Hyo-na participated.
Lee Seung-yeon said, “It’s a role I’ve never done before, so I was worried about whether I could do it well, but I read the script for all 20 episodes without going to the bathroom once. It was so much fun. Meeting director Son Seok-jin made me feel like he’s someone who will only walk a flower path in the future. With actors Lee Il-hwa, Lee Si-ah, and Choi Jong-hwan, I felt like even if I can’t do it well, I can still contribute and have fun working with them.”
She continued about her character, “First of all, she is bold and gets everything she wants, and in some ways, she can be vulgar. I’ve been raising kids with a twisted sense of maternal love, but experiencing this through acting makes me think I should raise my own child properly. I’m learning a lot while filming, and I feel good about it. It’s supportive. I’m acting with a happy heart.”
She added, “I’m not like this person, but people say it fits me perfectly, which confuses me.”
‘Intimate Ripley’ is a drama that depicts the audacious yet tearful struggle of a mother and daughter, who, having met through a mother-in-law relationship, engage in a war of lies to claim the Gyeonghyang family. It will premiere on the 22nd at 7:50 PM.
