Singer Wooz revealed behind-the-scenes stories related to the resurgence of 'Drowning'.

On the 17th, MBC's 'Radio Star' featured guests Jeong Bo-seok, Lee Seok-hoon, Ong Seong-woo, and Wooz.

On this day, Wooz talked about 'Drowning', which surged in popularity while he was serving in the military, saying, "'Drowning' is a song that was released a year before I enlisted. There is a video of me singing 'Drowning' on 'Immortal Songs' for the Armed Forces Day special, and it turned out well."

He continued, "At first, the 'Drowning' stage was not broadcast. The production team said that only the joint stage would be aired, and since it was disappointing, they suggested uploading the individual stage to YouTube. But now, the 'Drowning' video has reached 19 million views."

Wooz shared, "To be honest, I was not in good condition that day. As a soldier, I woke up at 6 AM and went to bed at 10 PM, and my stage was almost at 9 PM. It was time to sleep, so my throat was hoarse, and I sang with a grimace."

He added, "When a soldier grimaces and is told to come back, I think it resonated strongly with the audience," expressing his gratitude.

On the other hand, Wooz mentioned that the reactions from fellow celebrities after the resurgence of 'Drowning' have been enthusiastic, specifically mentioning his only direct senior in the agency, IU.

Wooz said, "In our agency, it's just IU and me. About a week after 'Drowning' did well, IU contacted me. She said, 'You should only wear military uniforms in the future,' and when I asked why, she said, 'There’s something about that video, but I can’t really explain it.'"

When Kim Gu-ra commented on IU's statement, saying, "That's a thunderbolt for an active-duty soldier, but it's a compliment," Wooz laughed and said, "She supported me pleasantly at the end."
