The meeting of singer 10CM and 'The Seasons' has finally arrived. 'The Seasons', which will meet the audience and viewers with rich music, is once again running to continue the legacy of Korea's representative music talk show.
On the afternoon of the 5th, a production presentation for KBS2's music talk show 'The Seasons - 10CM's Pat Pat' was held at KBS Art Hall located in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by MC 10CM, Melomance's Jung Dong-hwan, PD Choi Seung-hee, PD Son Ja-yeon, and PD Choi Ji-na.
10CM will take over as MC for the eighth season, following actor Park Bo-gum, who hosted 'The Seasons 7'. When asked about the differences, he humorously replied, "I am lacking in every aspect compared to Park Bo-gum."
He added, "However, I think my long experience of being familiar with KBS late-night programs and being an active musician might allow me to connect a bit more with the feelings of the guest singers."
Regarding the first recording held on the 2nd, he said, "Honestly, I don't remember much. I was so nervous from the waiting room until the end of the shoot, and I spent the time feeling excited and trembling," and expressed, "I think I was able to finish the shoot happily thanks to many people who helped me."
PD Choi Seung-hee explained the casting of 10CM as the MC, saying, "This is Korea's most representative music talk show, and I thought it was natural for the MC to be someone recognized musically by the public, like a musician." He added, "When it came to the first choice, I thought of 10CM's Kwon Jeong-yeol, and I was grateful that he accepted the offer."
The behind-the-scenes story of the title for the eighth season, 'Pat Pat', was also shared. PD Choi Seung-hee mentioned, "I met Park Bo-gum recently, and he said he was disappointed that it wasn't 'Jeong-yeol's Night'."
10CM is also the most frequent guest on 'The Seasons', having appeared six times. Returning from guest to host, 10CM said, "Even though it's a stage I often perform on, it's always a stage that makes me nervous and anxious. It was the same when I was a guest, but I think it will be even more so as a host, so it feels like a very burdensome and scary position."
He added, "The production team and fans have been supportive, which gives me a lot of strength and also brings a sense of responsibility."
PD Choi Seung-hee praised 10CM's performance, saying, "I think 10CM sang over 10 songs during the first recording. I was worried he might get sick from it."
He continued, "The recording ended around midnight, but the expressions of the people leaving were bright, which relieved me," and hinted, "Every season has its characteristics, but I expect this season to be musically richer than any other season."
Melomance's Jung Dong-hwan, who participated as the band master in the eighth season, welcomed 10CM's selection as MC, saying, "I thought, 'Here it comes.' Melomance also started with independent music, and I think we are following in the footsteps of senior Kwon Jeong-yeol, who started that way and reached the public."
When asked which musicians he would like to invite this season, 10CM mentioned Jang Beom-jun and Lee Moon-sae. He said, "I really want to invite Jang Beom-jun because we have a certain friendship, and he is a musician I really like and respect, but we have never done anything together on a show. I think it would create a fresh and fun picture for the viewers."
He added, "I would also like to invite all the past MCs, but another person that comes to mind is senior Lee Moon-sae. Just having him on the show would give me a lot of strength, so I would like to meet him as an MC."
Director Choi Seung-hee expressed his expectations, saying, "I think this will be the most musically rich season ever."
Regarding the first broadcast airing that day, 10CM said, "If you can feel how sincerely I am approaching this stage, I hope you will watch it well, and it would also be a good point of observation to see how much strength and support the many guests and audience members give me," and added, "The music was truly excellent. Please look forward to it."
The eighth season of 'The Seasons', which has established itself as Korea's representative live music program, 'The Seasons - 10CM's Pat Pat', will premiere today (5th) at 10 PM on KBS2.
