Shim Hyung-tak's son Haru celebrated his 200th day with a heart-fluttering visual that made online aunts and uncles smile.
The 588th episode of KBS2’s ‘Superman Returns’ (directed by Kim Young-min, hereafter ‘Superman’) aired on the 3rd, featuring the segment ‘Peek-a-boo~ Our Baby!’ with MCs Park Soo-hong, Choi Ji-woo, and Ahn Young-mi, along with Superman Shim Hyung-tak and Supermom Kim Yoon-ji. ‘Superman’ recorded a peak rating of 5.2% and a nationwide rating of 3.8%, continuing its upward trend (according to Nielsen Korea).
In this episode, Shim Hyung-tak's son Haru was depicted celebrating his 200th day. The segment included stamping his feet on a Doraemon poster, creating a sculpture of Haru's hands and feet, and a special photo shoot to commemorate the 200 days, showcasing Shim Hyung-tak's efforts to capture his son's current moments, while Haru's cuteness stole the hearts of viewers day by day.
During the 200-day photo shoot, Haru was likened to the next flower boy following Park Bo-gum and Cha Eun-woo. Shim Hyung-tak couldn't hide his admiration, saying, “Wow, whose son is this?” and in the studio, Choi Ji-woo also remarked, “It seems like child actor Haru has grown up to become Park Bo-gum or Cha Eun-woo,” acknowledging him as the third visual representative in traditional attire.
Haru donned a hakama, a traditional Japanese wedding outfit, and posed with a character resembling Monchhichi and Vegeta from Dragon Ball, showcasing his father's dreams through special outfits and settings, evoking smiles from viewers with his photogenic poses and expressions.
The key contributor to the memorable 200-day photos was none other than dad Shim Hyung-tak. Shim Hyung-tak expressed his admiration for Haru's Monchhichi transformation, saying, “You’re so cute, I feel like my heart might stop.”
The photographer praised Haru's lovely appearance, stating, “His visuals are in the top 1%, and his condition is also 1%.” Shim Hyung-tak expressed his happiness, saying, “I’m so happy that our Haru has turned 200 days healthy,” and added, “Thank you for coming to us, Haru,” pouring out his love for his son, which resonated with many.
