‘Queen of Insight Kim Nam-joo’ Kim Nam-joo reminisced about her days as a model in Namdaemun.
During a recent recording of the SBS Life entertainment program ‘Queen of Insight Kim Nam-joo’, she went on a tour of Namdaemun in Seoul and said, “It’s been a while since I came to Namdaemun, and it brings back old memories. I started my career as a clothing model in Namdaemun.”
Kim Nam-joo recalled, “When you enter Namdaemun, there are clothing stores, and they used to hang photos of models in front of the stores. The merchants would choose models based on those photos. One merchant saw me and immediately chose me to take (the photo).”
She continued, “After the shoot, I had to take a train to Pyeongtaek, so while waiting for the train, having a hamburger made me feel like I had everything I could want. I was busy, but I was happy. When I go to my mom's house, there might be photos from the catalog I shot at Namdaemun Market. Moms tend to keep everything,” she said with a bright smile.
In addition to the Namdaemun tour, ‘Queen of Insight Kim Nam-joo’ will also feature her taking a flower arrangement class, airing on SBS Life at 8:40 PM on the 2nd.
