Actress Kim Tae-hee shared her thoughts on working as an international couple with Hollywood actor Daniel Dae Kim.

On the morning of the 21st, a press conference for the Amazon Prime Video series "Butterfly" was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul. The event was attended by Daniel Dae Kim, Reina Hardesty, Kim Ji-hoon, Kim Tae-hee, and Sean Richard.

On that day, Kim Tae-hee mentioned that she met Daniel Dae Kim via a Zoom meeting after receiving the script before casting. She expressed her interest in the role of Eun-joo, saying, "I wanted to say what I could in English, but since I couldn't express myself in Korean, I felt very comfortable with the interpreter, and from that moment, I started to rely on him."

She added, "To bring out the couple's chemistry, my first impression was really good. He was wearing glasses and smiling pleasantly, and I felt he was a good person at that moment."

Kim Tae-hee stated, "While working on the project, we had to portray an international couple, and we discussed what it would be like for other international couples when communicating. We talked a lot about which parts of the dialogue would be in English and which would be in Korean, and I think we became quite close through those discussions."

"Butterfly" tells the story of David Jung (played by Daniel Dae Kim), a former U.S. intelligence agent shrouded in mystery, and Rebecca (played by Reina Hardesty), an active agent sent to kill him, in a cat-and-mouse chase.

Daniel Dae Kim, an American actor of Korean descent, not only stars in the project but also serves as an executive producer. It is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Arash Amel.

"Butterfly" was released worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on the 13th and will air on tvN every Friday and Saturday at 10:40 PM starting from the 22nd.
