Actress Kim Tae-hee shared a story about almost being victimized by a pervert in the past.
On the 20th, Kim Tae-hee appeared on the tvN entertainment program ‘You Quiz on the Block’ (hereafter ‘You Quiz’) and opened up about her school days and current concerns.
Kim Tae-hee mentioned, “I lived without knowing if there were boys I liked. My brother received letters on my behalf. He didn’t pass them on. He played a protective role like a bodyguard,” referring to her actor brother Lee Wan.
She then shocked viewers by revealing that she almost fell victim to a man while returning home during her high school years. She said, “I felt someone coming up behind me. I glanced over and saw it was a man. I thought, ‘It should be fine’ and got into the elevator. But he was a problematic person. When we arrived, he suddenly attacked me.”
She continued, “I screamed and pressed the doorbell, and as soon as my brother pressed it, he ran out. The pervert ran down the stairs, and my brother chased after him,” recalling the frightening situation.
Kim Tae-hee expressed that she escaped harm thanks to Lee Wan, saying, “It was really scary. I have a terrifying memory of it.”
On that day, while sharing stories from her school days, Kim Tae-hee also revealed that she is currently experiencing stress from parenting. She said, “I had my first child as a honeymoon baby, and I’m the type who dedicates myself to parenting, so raising them is harder than giving birth. I thought having a second child would be too much, but it happened naturally, and I took a break for five years.”
Meanwhile, Kim Tae-hee married Rain in 2017 and has two daughters.
Kim Tae-hee, who entered the entertainment industry with a CF advertisement in 2000, has received great love through various dramas such as ‘Stairway to Heaven’, ‘Mythical Fox: The Legend’, ‘Iris’, and ‘Yong Pal’. Her latest work is the ENA drama ‘House with a Yard’, released in 2023.
