Soyul from the group Crayon Pop mentioned her daughter's future.
On the 20th at 6 PM, Soyul appeared alongside Choa from AOA in episode 13 of 'Sisters' Party', released on the YouTube channel 'This is the Real Final'. The two, who led the golden age of girl groups, showcased their enduring 'idol visuals' and lively banter with MC Kim Ddol-dol, drawing attention with their fantastic 'sister chemistry' during their long-awaited variety show appearance.
Soyul, who has become a mother of two from being an idol, expressed her excitement, saying, "It's so nice to stand in front of many cameras after just focusing on parenting," and added, "I did my makeup for the first time in two years, referencing IVE's Jang Wonyoung." As the recording neared its end, she declared, "I don't want to go home. I want to stay here," becoming the first guest in 'Sisters' Party' history to refuse to leave work, making the scene burst into laughter.
She also confessed about the unique talents of her two children born to a 'Crayon Pop' mom and an 'H.O.T.' dad. Soyul shared, "My eldest, Heeyul, wants to be an 'idol'. She practices choreography alone and even films shorts," adding, "I feel like she has talent; it can't be helped," hinting at the hopeful potential of the so-called 'idol silver spoon' second generation. Additionally, she candidly shared various stories, including her secret relationship and marriage with Moon Hee-jun, the income differences between group and solo activities, showcasing her honest and lively charm.
Choa openly revealed her feelings at the time of her departure from AOA. She said, "I left the team because I experienced burnout. During that time, Soyul got married and was raising kids, but I did nothing. I just lay down," surprising everyone with her bittersweet self-reflection. She continued, "I had dreamed of being an idol for a long time and debuted, but it didn't seem like hard work was enough," and shared, "When BLACKPINK and TWICE debuted during my hardest times, I felt like 'this is my peak'." Despite this, she stated, "It was a decision for my happiness. Even if I could go back, I would have still left," revealing that her choice to take a break from activities was a serious decision.
Choa also clarified, "For three years, (unintentionally) retirement rumors circulated, and I did nothing," adding, "I wanted to release an album again, and I never directly said I was retiring." She expressed her desire to prepare well and work hard again, raising expectations for her future activities, which she aims to prove through good music and performances.
