Actress Jang Seo-hee clarified the rumor about her 50 billion won appearance fee for a Chinese drama.

On the 6th, Jang Seo-hee and singer Hwang Chi-yeul appeared on the tvN STORY entertainment program ‘What to do with the leftovers’ of Young-ja and Se-ri.

On that day, Lee Young-ja mentioned, “Haven’t the two of you been very active in China?” and added, “There was news that Jang Seo-hee received 50 billion won for her drama appearance fee.”

Jang Seo-hee responded, “The 50 billion is correct,” but clarified, “However, it’s not my appearance fee; it was the total production cost of the drama 20 years ago, and it got exaggerated over time.”

Park Se-ri also said, “In golf, the total prize money is 8 billion or 9 billion, but people think the winner takes it all,” and added, “That’s not the case; it’s the total prize money.”

Jang Seo-hee, who had high earnings in China, confessed, “I used to run a company,” and added, “And while operating it, I lost a lot of money.”

Having experienced running a company, she said, “So now when I talk to the company president, we understand each other,” and showed a positive attitude by saying, “I lost a lot of money, but I learned many lessons.”

Jang Seo-hee had previously worked in China due to the popularity of dramas like ‘My Girl’ and ‘The Temptation of Wife’. She recalled that since the Korean Wave had not yet taken off, she had to adapt to the local culture, saying, “I received great hospitality, but I couldn’t adapt to the food, so I ate mapo tofu for a month.”

Meanwhile, Jang Seo-hee is currently meeting viewers as the MC of TV Chosun’s ‘Severe Health Center’.
