‘THE Delicious Guys’ is undergoing a summer revamp.
The Comedy TV variety show ‘THE Delicious Guys’, which has received love from viewers for the fantastic chemistry of Kim Jun-hyun, Moon Se-yoon, Hwang Je-seong, and Kim Hae-jun, is returning with an upgraded mukbang variety format.
‘THE Delicious Guys’ has long been a representative of mukbang entertainment, leading the Korean mukbang trend by producing signatures like ‘Just One Bite’. It has gone beyond simply eating food, joyfully expressing the instinctual pleasures of humans and eliciting empathy and vicarious satisfaction from viewers.
However, with a recent influx of similar format content, the mukbang entertainment market is facing fierce competition. As a result, ‘THE Delicious Guys’ has decided that a new breakthrough is necessary.
The core of this revamp is the expansion into ‘outdoor variety’. The production team plans to move beyond simple restaurant mukbangs and showcase a variety of themes combined with sports, travel, hobbies, music, and more. The chemistry of the members who enjoy delicious food and the small mukbangs that have made ‘THE Delicious Guys’ a dining companion for viewers will be enriched with large-scale projects, providing even more abundant viewing experiences.
Existing members Kim Jun-hyun, Moon Se-yoon, Hwang Je-seong, and Kim Hae-jun have already proven their strong presence in outdoor variety shows. The new synergy and unpredictable chemistry they will showcase are generating expectations for this revamp.
Song Sang-hoon, the PD of ‘THE Delicious Guys’, stated, “We will maintain the strengths of the existing mukbang format unique to ‘The Delicious Guys’ while actively reflecting the needs of viewers,” and added, “We plan to present outdoor mukbang variety with different special themes each week, so we ask for your interest and anticipation.”
Meanwhile, the first broadcast of the revamped ‘THE Delicious Guys’, which signals a new evolution of mukbang entertainment, will be available on July 25 at 8 PM on Comedy TV.
