‘Running Man’ met with Super Junior.
The SBS variety show ‘Running Man’, aired on the afternoon of the 13th, was themed ‘You might win gold’ to celebrate its 15th anniversary.
On this day’s broadcast, the members wore outfits from 15 years ago to commemorate the anniversary. Haha reminisced, seeing Choi Daniel dressed in Lee Ji Hoon's look during the 'Hiking' segment, saying, “Hey, did you say ‘Se Kyung’?” Yoo Jae Suk was also surprised, saying, “You look fine.”
Haha joked, “I had three kids while doing this. An article came out, right? The century couple is getting married. They call us the Korean Brangelina couple!” to which Ji Ye Eun humorously replied, “Brazilian.”
Later, Super Junior, who is celebrating their 20th anniversary, appeared as guests. Kyuhyun expressed discomfort, saying, “It’s been so long since I wore skinny jeans.” Super Junior then performed their new song ‘Express Mode’.
While Lee Teuk and Eunhyuk showcased flashy dance moves, Kyuhyun displayed a somewhat cute dance style, prompting Haha to laugh and say, “You’re a bit behind, aren’t you?”
After the song ended, the members exclaimed, “We’re alive!” but then looked at Kyuhyun and teased, “You look a bit tired, don’t you?” and “Your belly seems to have grown?”
The production team announced that the members would line up according to how well they could pull off the fashion from that time, saying, “We will give R coins based on the ranking. Today, we will be competing for gold,” and introduced the first mission, ‘I’m Not Sorry, Sorry, Loyalty King’.
Divided into two teams, they played a relay game eating spicy food, and the members struggled with the food that had 15 levels of spiciness. After Song Ji Hyo ate up to level 7, Yoo Jae Suk tackled hellish curry and spicy hamburger steak. As Yoo Jae Suk swayed from the spiciness, Haha teased, “It feels like you’re in a club!”
After tasting the level 10 spicy pork cutlet, Yoo Jae Suk wandered around, shedding tears, prompting Eunhyuk to say, “Wow, your eyes are red. Are you crying?” The Jae Suk team finished the food up to level 14 in the order of Kim Jong Kook, Haha, Song Ji Hyo, Yoo Jae Suk, and Eunhyuk.
The Seok Jin team successfully reached level 15, earning 70 R coins, while the Jae Suk team earned 40 coins.
The next mission was ‘Express Slippery Mode’, a game where the entire team had to climb an uphill path covered in soap bubbles. After splitting into pairs, the Yoo Jae Suk-Ji Ye Eun team faced off against the Yang Se Chan-Eunhyuk team, while Ji Seok Jin participated alone. Yoo Jae Suk climbed well, but Ji Ye Eun struggled, and after a fierce competition, the Yang Se Chan and Eunhyuk team emerged victorious.
Ultimately, Yoo Jae Suk exploded, saying, “Why aren’t you doing anything! You just eat all the time! Ji Ye Eun, you should at least try to climb!” In the next game, Kim Jong Kook and Kyuhyun took first place, while Song Ji Hyo and Lee Teuk came in second.
With Lee Teuk securing first place with 61 R coins, they played a betting game called ‘Odd or Even’. The production team announced that if they guessed odd or even correctly, they would double their R coins, and if they guessed the exact number of people, they would receive 5 R coins, which motivated the members to say, “I’m good at this!”
Ji Ye Eun borrowed R coins from other members to participate in the betting. Eunhyuk said, “You have to go all in! Since we’re in the game, it’s all or nothing,” betting all his 66 coins. Yang Se Chan also pulled out 79 coins from his total of 80.
Ji Seok Jin suggested, “Shall we make a promise? This time, we’ll really give 5 coins each. This is sitting, and this is standing,” and the opposing team accepted the proposal. Ji Seok Jin instructed all members except Haha to stand up, but only Song Ji Hyo and Choi Daniel stood, leading to Ji Seok Jin’s bankruptcy. In the first group, Yang Se Chan secured 159 coins, taking first place.
The second group played a game called ‘Betting Uncle’, where they bet on the name of the member who would be chosen as the Uncle or whether the turn would be odd or even. Kyuhyun, who bet on Eunhyuk, and Kim Jong Kook, who wrote odd, won the bets, with Kyuhyun taking first place with 160 R coins.
Kyuhyun and Kim Jong Kook received the prize of 15th-anniversary gold rings, while Lee Teuk, Eunhyuk, and Ji Ye Eun faced the penalty of getting hit with whipped cream bombs.
