Hani from the group EXID has shared her feelings after postponing her marriage with her boyfriend Yang Jae-woong.

On the 7th, Hani appeared as a participant in the second season of the MBN entertainment program 'Oh Eun-young's Stay'. She appeared with a natural look, without makeup, and used her real name, Ahn Hee-yeon, as her nickname.

The non-celebrity participants who appeared with her did not recognize Hani. Hani introduced herself to the participants who did not know her, saying, “I am originally a singer. I am a celebrity,” and joked, “Is my face different from what you expected? I guess I don’t have a celebrity-level face.”

Regarding her reason for participating in the temple stay, Hani said, “I started my career as a celebrity at a young age, and after my contract ended, I realized that I didn’t know much about the world. I lived like a frog in a well.”

She continued, “I tend to be very sensitive to others' feelings. But now I want to stop being that way. It’s hard to be sensitive, but I think I was in an environment where I had to keep being sensitive.” She added, “Recently, after going through various experiences, I felt that ‘my life doesn’t go as I wish.’ This made me naturally let go of my desire to control my life. I started to wonder, ‘Is it okay to live like that?’”

In a preview released at the end of the broadcast, Hani revealed her inner thoughts. She said, “I couldn’t live like this anymore. I even thought about wanting to run away from the excessive pressure. People around me said, ‘Why go down a thorny path?’” which caught attention.

Hani was supposed to marry psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong in September last year. However, in May, just before the wedding, an incident occurred at the hospital where Yang Jae-woong is the director, resulting in a patient’s death. The bereaved family filed a criminal complaint, claiming that the hospital neglected a patient who was complaining of abdominal pain and did not provide appropriate emergency care, leading to Yang Jae-woong and hospital officials being sued for professional negligence resulting in death.

Due to this incident, Yang Jae-woong suspended his broadcasting activities and indefinitely postponed his marriage to Hani. Hani also stopped her broadcasting activities but made her comeback after 8 months by appearing as EXID on KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' Baby Vox special.
