In ‘Whenever Possible,’ Choi Ji-woo shares the struggles of being a late-blooming mom with a 5-year-old daughter.
On the upcoming broadcast of the SBS variety show ‘Whenever Possible’ on the 8th, actress Choi Ji-woo will appear as a ‘friend of the show’.
During a recent recording, Choi Ji-woo drew attention by revealing her real-life situation as a dedicated mom. She expressed her feelings to Yoo Jae-suk, saying, “I have nothing else going on besides parenting these days. Yet, I’m still so busy,” sharing a bittersweet complaint. Previously, Choi Ji-woo made headlines when she gave birth to her first child at the age of 46.
Choi Ji-woo mentioned, “It’s important to build relationships with other moms, so I have to meet them often. It’s tough, but I’m trying hard to keep up,” expressing her astonishment at the increasing difficulty of parenting day by day. When Yoo Yeon-seok asked, “Aren’t the other moms almost like younger sisters?” Choi Ji-woo replied, “They’re not at the younger sister level. Most of them were born in the 90s, so there’s a 20-year gap. I’m just trying hard to keep up,” adding with a sense of resignation, which made Yoo Yeon-seok burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, Yoo Jae-suk and Choi Ji-woo reportedly heatedly discussed their parenting styles, drawing interest. Yoo Jae-suk noted Choi Ji-woo’s uniquely firm tone, saying, “This is what comes out during discipline, right? There’s a certain authority in your voice.”
In response, Choi Ji-woo confessed, “That’s because it’s the peak time for discipline. I can’t raise my voice, so it ends up like this,” sharing a bittersweet truth. Yoo Jae-suk empathized, saying, “Doesn’t your voice carry weight? But this is how moms and dads end up. Even if you want to speak nicely, you keep having to discipline,” which made Choi Ji-woo burst into laughter.
Viewers can check out what kind of chemistry Yoo Jae-suk and Choi Ji-woo will showcase in the Yangjae-dong area on the broadcast of ‘Whenever Possible’ on the 8th at 9 PM.
