The God of Cupbap, Song Jeong-hoon, has revealed his 570-pyeong mansion.
On the afternoon of the 6th, KBS2's entertainment program 'The Boss's Ears are Donkey Ears' (hereinafter 'Sadangui') featured Jeong Ho-young, Lee Soon-sil, and Song Jeong-hoon as bosses in turn.
In this episode, the first boss, Jeong Ho-young, participated in the 80th Anniversary Liberation Day Food Festival. He stated, "I was invited to the Korea Memorial Food Festa hosted by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, and I plan to sell food themed around liberation."
An hour before the opening, Jeong Ho-young, seeing that there seemed to be insufficient ingredients to prepare 500 servings, urged his staff. When he learned that famous chefs like Choi Hyun-seok, Jeong Ji-seon, Lee Won-il, Jo Kwang-hyo, and Ahn Yu-seong were opening booths next to him, Jeong Ho-young also tried to keep an eye on them.
After a tough preparation of ingredients for 500 servings, Jeong Ho-young and his staff worked hard to cook flat tofu stir-fry for the long line of customers.
A little later, when Jeong Ho-young briefly left for the opening ceremony, Jeong Ji-seon filled in for him, amusing the customers at Jeong Ho-young's booth.
At that moment, Chef Jeong Ho-young's cooking show began. However, it suddenly started to rain, and many people left their seats. Nevertheless, Jeong Ho-young said, "Teacher Oh Geon-hae used to cook a lot of tofu dishes for many independence activists. So, I prepared 'flat tofu stir-fry'," and he cooked with great care.
As singer Jeon Yu-jin tasted his food and kept giving thumbs up, customers continued to visit Chef Jeong Ho-young's booth. Ultimately, they successfully sold out all 500 servings.
The second boss, Lee Soon-sil, made an appearance. He mentioned that if he opened a store in Dongducheon, he would need to speak English, so he visited an English kindergarten run by an acquaintance. When Soon-sil couldn't read the English questions at all, the native teacher pronounced "apple" clearly for him.
However, Lee Soon-sil corrected the native speaker's pronunciation, saying, "It's 'aeppeo'? That's not right. It's 'aepul!' Apple! Wrong. It's 'aepul'." Eventually, the native teacher diagnosed, "Her English level is... 2 years old." Lee Soon-sil acknowledged his skills, saying, "So, it can't be compared. I should play with babies."
Watching the VCR, Kim Sook laughed, saying, "Isn't 2 years old quite generous? Even 2-year-olds know a lot of words."
Having learned English from the children, Lee Soon-sil made a North Korean dish called potato smash soup as a reward. When the children saw the completed dish, they refused, saying, "I don't want to eat that." However, following defector Na Min-hee, they added ketchup and said, "Now it tastes good," finishing the dish completely.
The third boss, the God of Cupbap, Song Jeong-hoon, made an appearance. On this day, Song Jeong-hoon revealed his 570-pyeong mansion, leaving the panelists in awe. He stated, "I built it myself six years ago, and my wife did all the interior design while I worked on the exterior."
He showcased a suite home with various hidden rooms, including a gym, movie theater, clothing room, and study. When Song Jeong-hoon said, "If done roughly, it would be about 1.5 billion won? (Currently estimated at 3 billion won)," Jeon Hyun-moo expressed envy, saying, "Is that real?"
Having personally prepared breakfast and lunch boxes for his five children, Song Jeong-hoon also showed his caring side as a father by taking the kids to school.
Later, upon arriving at the cupbap company, Song Jeong-hoon met another representative, Kwon Deok COO. Song Jeong-hoon revealed, "That friend used to work in a hedge fund but quit to come here. He was earning 2.5 billion won a year, and his bonuses were even more. He was our first customer." He continued, "He was scouted from working in downtown Utah to the New York headquarters. He managed about 600 billion won when he moved to a bigger company."
No Hee-young analyzed, "If there isn't a cool-headed person under such a passionate boss, it would be hard to maintain the company. I thought, 'That person is the key man.' If he did it alone, he would go bankrupt."
Upon arriving at a public high school in Utah, Song Jeong-hoon and his staff prepared for a cupbap event. As they prepared pork, chicken galbi, and chicken gangjeong cupbap, students lined up to receive their cupbap.
At that moment, influencer James Seo, whom Song Jeong-hoon invited, arrived, making the booth inside the school lively. No Hee-young, watching the video of Song Jeong-hoon, praised, "He made each one of those himself; it must have been so hard. That's really impressive."
