Moon Ga-young showcases a new charm through her character Kang Hee-ji in 'Seocho-dong'.
The new tvN weekend drama 'Seocho-dong' (written by Lee Seung-hyun / directed by Park Seung-woo / planned by CJ ENM Studios / produced by Chorokbaem Media), which premieres on July 5, depicts the growth journey of five associate lawyers (lawyers employed by a law firm and paid a salary) who commute to the Seocho-dong legal town every day.
In the drama, Kang Hee-ji is a first-year associate lawyer at the law firm JoHwa, characterized by her passion for work and warm-heartedness towards people. As viewers anticipate Moon Ga-young's first transformation into a legal professional, she draws attention by revealing the charm points of her character Kang Hee-ji.
First, Moon Ga-young recalled her first impression of the character, saying, "Her ability to quickly recognize things and think coolly made her seem lovely and courageous." She described Kang Hee-ji as a person with "flexibility," explaining that she is someone who naturally gets along with anyone and possesses a candid charm.
In particular, she added a cute introduction, saying, "She is like a pickled radish that connects the sweet and sour elements of food." This comparison highlights Kang Hee-ji's ability to maintain good relationships not only with associate lawyers but also with the lead lawyer, property owners, and clients. This raises curiosity about the meeting with Kang Hee-ji, who will become an indispensable presence among the 'Avengers of Law' like pickled radish in kimbap.
Meanwhile, Moon Ga-young, who is taking on a legal character for the first time in 'Seocho-dong', mentioned that while acting, "There were many lines that required delivering accurate information without emotions, so I memorized them like studying for an exam after a long time." She also stated, "I looked for various suits that matched the character's color. While acting, I realized once again the power that clothing gives," drawing attention to the styling of the Kang Hee-ji character.
Finally, Moon Ga-young suggested "delicious food" as a way to enjoy 'Seocho-dong' more immersively. "I hope you enjoy it while eating delicious food like a comfortable meal friend. The small but warm stories, conflicts, and choices will gather to show the characters' growth, and you will find yourself cheering for them, so I hope you watch until the end," she urged.
'Seocho-dong' will premiere on July 5 at 9:20 PM on tvN.
